Quick News
I'm currently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The weekly updates I post tell the story of my mobilization. Update: while in training, I broke my leg. I'm no longer headed to Iraq, but I am continuing to write about my time in medical hold.

I should also mention that I, as all wishful wordsmiths should be, am filled with the greenest of jealousies.
Anyone who laughs at such a purchase obviously doesn’t understand the true meaning of a typewriter, i.e. what it represents. It hearkens back to an era when every word was important, when each stroke counted for something causing the author to pause, think, and invent deeper, richer works than you could find in today’s LOL, emoticon world. And also, the fact that it is a machine whose sole purpose is to aid a writer… What more noble machine could be?
I say kudos on this purchase, and may you buy many more. Next purchase: Old fashioned printing press!
